Solstice Benefits Makes the Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies for Seventh Consecutive Year

The ancillary benefits insurer ranked No. 3,460 with three-year sales growth of 110 percent.

Ten years ago, South Florida-based ancillary benefits insurer Solstice Benefits Inc. (Solstice) had 35 employees, hyper-focused products and a single-state operation. Now, 116 employees and growing, Solstice has 700,000 members nationwide, offers a variety of standout dental and vision benefits options, holds the No. 1 largest DHMO provider networks[1] in Florida and New York along with a national DPPO network and is in the process of a multi-state expansion.

Today, Inc. Magazine ranked Solstice No. 54 in the insurance industry and No. 3,460 overall on its 37th annual Inc. 5000 list, a prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. Solstice was No. 4,148 last year.

Our teamwork knows no bounds and our collective vision continually fuels our growth and success. This award embodies their tremendous work and means a lot to us as a company and family.

Carlos Ferrera , Solstice Chief Operating Officer

With three-year average revenue growth of 110 percent, this is Solstice’s seventh straight year on the list, joining a mere 3.5 percent of the nation’s companies who’ve made the list seven times as a result of consistently high growth.

Solstice Chief Operating Officer Carlos Ferrera and Solstice’s founder and CEO Dr. Leonard Weiss cultivated a family environment from the company’s inception. Wellness programs, employee appreciation events and themed dress-up days are just a few ways company management injects fun into a serious industry, as well as regular appearances by Dr. Weiss’ Goldendoodle dog. Employees have voted Solstice to various best company and top workplace lists over recent years.

“We’re honored to be ranked by Inc. for a seventh time,” Ferrera said. “Our teamwork knows no bounds and our collective vision continually fuels our growth and success. This award embodies their tremendous work and means a lot to us as a company and family.”

The Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment —  its independent small businesses. Solstice joins other winners like Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow and many other big companies that gained their first national exposure as Inc. 5000 honorees.
